Lajitas is now an established destination resort town in west Texas, but it didn’t start off that way. At the turn of the latest century, it was a dusty roadside motel with a dry 9 hole golf course. A vision for a destination resort in this location, complete with a boutique hotel, 18 hole championship golf course, luxurious spa, private airport, hunt club, two restaurants and mixed retail was set, and a massive multi-year undertaking began.
A two year engagement was established to oversee several major aspects of this project, to include:
- Overseeing the implementation and commercialization of the Private Membership Program.
- Overseeing the design, content, and creation of all collateral to include brochures, in-room pieces and website.
- Acted as in-house Marketing and PR Manager for all aspects of the operation, with special focus on the resort, spa, golf course, and real estate / membership offerings.
The result of this massive undertaking was the creation of a true west Texas icon and unique location that is well known to the discerning traveler looking to explore the last holdouts of the American frontier. You can see it for yourself here.
